Shooting trousers
Note the braces used to support the trousers when worn, even though they are stiff enough to stand up on their own as in this shot. The waist fastening is strictly controlled so as to regulate the degree of stiffening available, as are all aspects of construction. See also the matching jacket and the rear view. To compete successfully in rifle shooting, especially in the standing position, this kit is more or less necessary. By comparison pistol shooting is allowed hardly any support clothing and this is a consideration when deciding which branch of the sport to take up, i.e. if finances are tight, then target pistol shooting is much cheaper than target rifle.
