Feinwerkbau Model 40 target pistol sights
A
close-up of the adjustable rear sights on a Feinwerkbau Model 40 compressed-air
pistol. The sights have three adjustments, lateral, vertical and sight width.
The language used is German and means as follows:
"L" stands for
"Links", which means "Left". "R" stands for "Recht", which means "Right". "H"
stands for "Hoch", which means "High" and "T" stands for "Tief", which means
"Low". Being German sights this means that if the shots are going to the left,
you adjust the sights to the "L" (which moves the point of impact to the right)
and so on. This method of sight marking can catch out the unwary, as it is the
opposite of British and American practice. The "+" and the "-" are used to
adjust the width of the rear sight notch.
